I honestly thought that nothing
could beat the Raw Spirit Festival in how much fun I had, the amount of
terrific people I met, and life changes it created for me.
Well, that was before Katharine Clark, business partner of Viktoras Kulvinskas, invited me to assist them at the New Life Expo that took place in New York City over this past weekend.
I got a change to share my passion for Simplexity Health products with hundreds of people, talk endlessly about nutrition, health, and raw foods, hang out with the most fun people, make new connections, and enjoy the most delicious raw food ever created made my good friend and a rising star Arianna Rose!
Don’t get me wrong - it was a lot of hard work, but it was a different kind of hard work. Have you ever noticed that when you do something you don’t care about it drains your energy but when you do something you are passionate about that work energizes you? This was truly a labor of love and I think I found a new outlet for my passion!
After the Expo closed, we went out
to Pure Food & Wine to celebrate and it was like the icing on a cake. I can honestly say that our table was
the most fun at the restaurant: we laughed, sang, played music, and even
danced! Well, I guess it’s unavoidable when you are a presence of Viktoras Kulvinskas and
Happy Oasis! Yes, Happy, the founder of the Raw Spirit Festival, made her first trip ever to New York City and it was one of those magical synchronicities!
And we all got a chance to witness the most incredible scene – Viktoras Kulvinskas, the father of the raw movement, bursting into spontaneous dance! Seriously, this was one in a lifestyle opportunity. I believe this is a memory I will treasure forever.
On another note, did you see Mike Adams speak at the Rawkathon last night? All I can say is wow. Although I signed up for a free participation, as soon as I finished watching the video I went to the website and purchase the DVDs so I get them when the event is over.
I’ve been a fan of Mike Adams, the Health Ranger, for some time now but this interview totally blew my mind. Mike shared some incredible but totally true information about FDA that most Americans don’t have a clue about. He spoke of cancer treatments, corruption in the medical industry, the future of our society, his passions and so much more.
So much of what Mike said resonated with me because much of what he said I already believed in myself. When he was talking about his passion for health, for helping others to get healthy, how he wants to bring change into our society, I felt like he was reading my mind and relieving my deepest desires. Mike is an incredible inspiration to me; I can’t wait to share his interview with my friends and my potluck group.
And how great was Dr. Gabriel Cousens? He talked in depth about his concepts of “Society of Death” and “Society of Life”, something he already touched upon in his book “Spiritual Nutrition”. These are life-changing concepts for anyone who would accept them and start implementing them. Dr. Cousens raised some serious questions during his interview, very thought provoking.
I am so charged about the Rawkathon, this is turning into another life-changing event.
2008 is rapidly turning into the best year of my life; it’s just one big thing after another. Of course the grand finale to this symphony of transformation will be my trip to Peru in January but I will write about that some other time.
Beautifully written Alina and thanks for the lovely mention!!

Wow, I've never been to Pure Food & Wine. My wife & I went to NYC back when she first went raw in 2006, but we didn't hit that place. We went to Bonobo's instead, which was pretty good. I think Wendi (@WendiDee on Twitter) loved it. I wasn't raw at the time, so I didn't develop much of an opinion on it. Anyway, since then, I've followed a high raw, now 100% raw, lifestyle and would love to visit PF&W (AND Bonobo's again, too!).
Also wanted to add that Dr. Cousen's appearance on Rawkathon was one of my favorites, too. I've beenr eading a lot of his stuff since then & really love it.
Best,
-Jim
